Our Therapy Specialties

  • We specialize in Attachment Trauma, also known as Complex Trauma, Developmental Trauma, and Generational Trauma. While this trauma can include the “big-T” traumatic events that are common in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), often this attachment trauma is made up of a pattern of “small-t” traumatic moments.

For many of our clients, this can look like an upbringing that included chronic invalidation or emotional dismissal, overly high or rigid expectations from caregivers, or needs around safety, security, or emotional wellbeing that were continually unmet.

In adulthood, this attachment history can manifest as perfectionism, people pleasing, self-doubt, difficulty in relationships, and confusion around goals and values.

In trauma therapy, we can help you unpack your story, dig into parts work through Internal Family Systems (IFS), build skills for nervous system regulation as well as for your relationships, and help you connect to your Authentic Self so that you can build a life that feels fulfilling for you!

  • The decision about whether or not to grow your family- and if so when- can weigh heavy on anyone’s mind! Together, either in individual or couples therapy, we can explore what’s showing up for you and help you navigate your next steps.

We are also passionate about supporting those who have faced challenges on the journey towards growing their family.

Fertility challenges such as pregnancy loss or infertility can be traumatic, overwhelming, and confusing.

We will help you hold space for all that is showing up on your fertility journey, unpack past wounds that may be showing up, tend to grief and trauma healing, and help you navigate your next steps and choices.

  • Growing your family can be one of the most beautiful as well as one of the most challenging experiences to go through!

Working with a therapist during pregnancy and postpartum can help you navigate this major life transition, hold space for identity shifts, feel more prepared for each step of the process, and attend to any perinatal mental health symptoms that show up.

Seasons of growing your family tend to bring up old wounds that we may need to work through. While this can feel uncomfortable, it is also a wonderful time to tend to our own healing so that we can show up for ourselves and our family in new ways.

We love working with both individuals and couples during this time. Learn more about Therapy for Pregnancy here and Therapy for Postpartum here!

  • Parenthood is no easy ride. It is filled with constant transitions, demands on our energy and emotions, as well as old wounds from our own childhoods that tend to pop up.

One of the best gifts that you can give yourself and your family is therapy during these significant seasons of life.

In therapy, you can process the experiences that are showing up in parenthood, build nervous system regulation skills so that you can stay grounded through the tough moments, tend to old wounds that may be showing up, and get the support that you need as you are raising little ones.
